Heart of the Bride is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) – proof that HOB meets the highest standards of financial and ethical accountability. The ECFA seal is tangible evidence to donors that a ministry is complying with the highest standards of Christian ethics in its governance, fundraising and financial accounting and reporting.
Here are a few ways you can be confident that your donations will have the biggest impact possible:
HOB maintains the highest level of financial accountability by having an independent accounting firm conduct an annual review of our financial statements
HOB has maintained administrative costs in the 5-10% range to ensure the maximum amount of funds are spent on ministry to those in greatest need
Full-time HOB staff salaries are not taken from HOB’s ministry funds; full-time staff (including the Ministry Director) are Missionaries who raise their own support. One exception is the Director of Development position which was created in May 2010 and is fully funded through a restricted donation
HOB requires Personal, Spiritual, and Professional accountability from International partners who receive funding. This is an ongoing process of growth and development for both parties
HOB maintains regular staff/missionary site visits to provide additional accountability and needs assessment
Financial partners are encouraged to become personally involved in the lives of those benefiting from their assistance
Financial partners receive a personalized status report outlining the impact of their partnership
