Breaking Generational Cycles

These guys have a lot to be proud of. They come from one of the poorest places in the Western Hemisphere, the Northwest Province of Haiti around Mare Rouge. They come from poor families who struggled to survive or even find their next meal. They had little hope for an adult life that was any different, until they found the Human Care School. Because of Edner Veus and the amazing staff at HCS, their stories changed and….a few weeks ago, they graduated from trade school for electrical work!
Even more amazing than that, is that their eternal destinies changed when they met Christ. The guy pictured in the middle, Schneider Lafortune, attended the Human Care School from 7th grade to high school graduation. He then received a scholarship to pursue trade school in October of 2023. Our partner, Edner Veus, travels to that group twice a month and leads them in discipleship. He also makes sure that they are attending a local church.
In January of 2025, Schneider came home to Mare Rouge to visit his parents and attend the church that meets at the school and is pastored by Edner. The Holy Spirit moved in his heart that morning and Schneider surrendered his life to Jesus! We praise the Lord that He brought Schneider to our school and provided the funds to keep him engaged into trade school. The ongoing discipleship provided by our partners led Schneider to the Lord.
God is breaking the cycles of spiritual and physical poverty! And He uses generous believers like you to do it.
