God’s Not Finished Yet!

We try as often as we can to share inspiring stories of the work our partners are doing around the world as seen in the kids they serve.  But sometimes the inspiration comes from the sacrifice and dedication of those who serve.  Serving under the leadership of our Partner Ministry Directors are selfless servants dedicated to the loving, Gospel-centered care of our children.  People like Anne.

Anne retired after 40 years as a very accomplished teacher.  She was an inspiring teacher to many over those years using fun and innovative techniques to challenge her students to go beyond what they thought possible.  Though she won’t show you, she has many awards and accolades that testify to her ability and dedication.

Anne retired and thought that was the end of her “career,” but God had other plans.  Anne testifies,

Just when I thought my career has come to a fulfilling end… God decided to write new chapters in my teaching career. He blessed me with a special venture, an NGO called ‘Nirikshea’. Now I mentor students from classes 10, 11, and 12 from underprivileged backgrounds. My true inspirers are Grace, Joy, Ruth, Beth, Hannah, Rajesh and Raju. Grace started this beautiful journey with these kids at a very young age whereas I have begun after my duty of nurturing my own two children and during the sunset of my life in my retirement.

Empathy is crucial, every day is new; it comes with its own challenges. Each day is God’s grace and masterpiece, a new wonder, new memory, and another chance to make it right.

We often say that the stories of our kids aren’t over when we hit challenging times with them, but we have also seen that our own stories aren’t over when we think they are.  Dedicated servants like Anne continue to serve the Lord well after the years of “employment.”  As long as we draw breath God has a plan for us in His Kingdom.  Anne’s place is right there serving children from very difficult places.  And she is making a huge difference in the lives of children who need love, care, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
