Hello HOB Friend,

Thank you for taking time to check out our online newsletter and see what God has been doing through HOB this year.  2021 may have started as “2020 part B” but things began to quickly reopen and ministries, once locked down, began to thrive again.

Beyond just resumption of ministry, God began to lay a foundation for growth in each of our ministry areas as well as a completely new arm of ministry on the Emerald Coast.  Within these online pages you’ll see stories of life change and hope restored.  We will also share some laments but even some of those end with a resounding victory.  We will also share the opportunities for the future and highlight many ways that you can make a difference in the life of a child around the world and along the Emerald Coast.

When we minister to one of the least of these, we minister directly to Christ. Whether we fill tangible needs, encourage one through relational connections, or take someone forgotten into our home, we are loving Christ by showing His love to those who are forgotten and abandoned.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (ESV)

Matthew 25:34–40

As always, we invite you to join us in this journey as we show the love of Christ to those that this world has forgotten.
