Yes!  After 20 years of ministering around the world, God has opened doors for ministry right here at home as well. 

Foster Care and Prevention 

This year, Heart of the Bride became the implementing partner for CarePortal on the Emerald Coast.  CarePortal is an online platform used to connect child service agencies with churches to meet the needs of children and families in crisis.  With CarePortal, we can provide the wrap around care that foster families need to care for vulnerable children and that bio families need to survive and thrive.  We work in prevention, care, and reunification because all children long for family.  This 2 minute video shows how it works: 

While CarePortal is active now, we are gearing up for a huge launch at the beginning of 2022.  Over 20 churches along the Emerald Coast are preparing to respond to needs and major training will be conducted with our local foster care provider in December.  The Florida Department of Children and Families will begin training in January.  A wall of love from the church is about to hit families in crisis in the panhandle!

Adoption Grants 

Since 2011, Heart of the Bride adoption grants have given $211,700 to 62 families who said “Yes” to God’s call to become forever families to orphaned children around the world.  In the most recent years, Heart of the Bride has given an average of $40,000 a year to help orphaned children know the love of family and the love of God. 

In 2021, HOB adoption grants helped place 25 orphaned children in forever families.  But there is much more to be done. 

You can help us do more.  Every dollar given to the adoption grant fund is given to a family already matched with a child in need of a forever family.  Many times, our grant comes right when most fundraising is trailing off and the family needs just that last bit to be ready.
